Sutton United Foundation – New Website

Sutton United Foundation Website & Brand Development

Rocoja was asked to design and build a new website for Sutton United Foundation, the charitable foundation connected to Sutton United FC.

Before the website build began, the project started with an important branding exercise.

The Foundation needed its own visual identity: one that felt closely connected to Sutton United FC, without simply copying the club’s strong and recognisable colour palette.

The aim was to create a linked brand that felt part of the Sutton United family, while giving the Foundation enough flexibility to tell its own story.

That story is about much more than football.

Sutton United Foundation delivers community sport, wellbeing activities and inclusive opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities across an extremely diverse and vibrant borough.

The new website needed to reflect that energy.

It had to feel welcoming, accessible and easy to use, while also being built with future growth in mind. As the Foundation continues to develop new projects, reach more people and support more of the local community, the site needed to be able to grow with it.

A key part of the brief was to create a digital platform that could support an increase in users across the Foundation’s projects. That meant making information clearer, improving navigation and ensuring visitors could quickly understand what was available, who it was for and how to get involved.

Alongside the website, Rocoja supported the launch with a comprehensive social media campaign.

We created a set of branded templates to help the Foundation communicate consistently across its channels and quickly establish a recognisable look and feel. This helped the new brand become visible, familiar and easy to identify across both the website and social media.

The project was delivered with the support of a committed and engaged Board of Trustees.

From agreeing the branding direction to providing input on colours, style and messaging, the Trustees were involved throughout the process.

The final brand direction was developed from the Foundation’s logo, which links directly back to Sutton United FC, while giving the Foundation its own distinctive community-focused identity.

The full website build was completed in less than four months.

For Rocoja, this project was a strong example of what we enjoy most: helping community-focused organisations build a clear, confident and practical digital presence that supports real-world impact.
